Note from Pat

Let me start our first monthly newsletter by saying thank you. From our early beginnings in a home studio, to recently moving into our own shop front space, I sincerely thank all students and parents for their support and help in allowing us to bring music and creative arts education to you and the Wollondilly community.

It’s been a fun yet challenging past few months settling into our new space, with lots of learning along the way, with many things yet to improve and develop as we progress through the remainder of the year. I aim to share these developments and improvements via this newsletter, as well as gather feedback and your input on how we can continue to improve our services to you.

A huge welcome to our new families and students who have joined River Road this term, its great to have you with us!

Also special thanks to new teachers who have jumped on board, including Therese, Noel, Neill, Joel, Paul - with a big thanks to Finn who has helped immensely on the set up and management of our new space.

This past school holidays we hosted our regular school holidays music and film-making camps and workshops; which provide kids a great way to explore various instruments, make some music, and utilise some holiday time!

New Student Management System on its way for Term 4!

We are currently reviewing how we manage our studio and students, including scheduling processes, payment options and process, teacher and student resources, live feeds, video content, and events.

We will be announcing these changes via email and videos to support transition to new procedures for Term 4. So far, the options we are reviewing provide intuitive solutions, with minimal disruption expected in the transition period.

Policy and Procedure Review

Also at this time we are reviewing and updating where required, all our Policies and Procedures. This includes updating our Terms and Conditions, Cancellation Policies, Grievance and Complaints Policies, and Diversity Policy.

This review aims to provides more transparency, support and guidance for all.
