Another awesome term comes to an end, with a huge congrats to all students who have engaged in music making, and our our filmmaking and creative arts programs for this term!

It’s been great to continue our Tuesday Night Creative Youth Drop In Sessions, kick off our Buxton Creative Drop in Sessions, having our Dilly Choir singing some rock n roll classics, being part of Pride Month celebrations, and the Creative Dilly Bus making great progress.

For Term 3, our Discover Music group classes are back, with our Filmmaking program back in action, and our new Photography Program for Teenagers with Tenille Salmon kicking off.

Here’s what’s been going on…

Buxton Drop In Sessions

It was great to kick off our Buxton Creative Art sessions at Buxton with Buxton NSW AU Community Group. Thanks to all the legends that came down! We’ll be there again soon and we will keep building on the group artwork. Tags, characters, and illustrations.

Tune in and Connect Session - Urban Art

Our Urban Art and Tune in and Connect Program came to an end with an awesome turn out to our creative arts session with Joe Quilter and Pat at the studio.

The Tune In and Connect Program were regular creative arts and music sessions each Saturday as part of the Youth Wellbeing Recovery program supported by the Office of Regional Youth!

Filmmaker Screening

Our filmmaking students wrapped up their filmmaking projects this term with an end of term screening demonstrating their hard work!

Big thanks to Tenille Salmon who came in to run this program!

Cawdor Recording Sessions

This Term we were back at Cawdor Public School, but this time we converted their library into a recording studio!!

Pride Month Picnic

We had an awesome little event at Picton Botanical Gardens as part of Pride Month celebrations, delivered in partnership with Wollondilly Shire Council, we will embrace and celebrate diversity in all its forms.

Dilly Choir

This Dilly Choir continues to meet meet each Wednesday 7pm-8pm.

It is a safe and inclusive group, accepting people of all abilities, identities, and backgrounds, including people living with a disability.

We are strongly encouraging adult beginners and those who have never engaged a music group before.

Creative Dilly Bus

The bus is well under way with the Bargo Mens Shed commencing work ion the inside of the bus. A big thanks to Dave Clayton and the Bargo men shed for committing their time and efforts to work on the bus.

The Creative Dilly bus project is to convert the old bus into a mobile creative arts studio. This includes a Creative Space for Music Making and Urban Art, a Recording Studio, Mobile Community Radio station 'Dilly FM' and Podcasting Studio, Photography facilities, and a suite of instruments and creative arts resources to enable creative development and self expression throughout the Wollondilly.

Look out for ore information on ‘Paint Day’ coming up during the school holidays on Wednesday 12th July, where painting on the outside and inside of the bus will commence. https://riverroad.edu.au/creativedillybus

Youth Stories Website

Our Youth Stories Website is now up and running, exhibiting the works developed by youth as part of our Youth Stories project.

This includes photography works, urban artworks, with ongoing works being added over the next month.

It also demonstrates some of the behind the scenes fun!

Mens Music Cave

The Mens Music Cave had its session last Month, with a good set list of songs coming along!

The music cave supports males in the Wollondilly area a safe space to learn an instrument and engage in a contemporary band.

The Mens Music Cave meets the last Sunday of each month 9am-11am.

Discover Music Class

These group classes allow kids and youth to engage in an exciting music making environment, exploring various instruments and music making tools, including guitar, bass, drums, piano, vocals, songwriting and music production, and music theory!

Filmmaking Program

Do you have someone in your household interested in filmmaking and want to nurture that interest but don't know where to start? We've got you covered! We will be running a fun filmmaking program for kids 7-12 years old led by local professional photographer and filmmaker, Tenille Salmon.

This Term we are kicking off a new Photography Program with professional photographer Tenille Salmon.

Creative Arts Group

This 10 week program allows students to explore commonly used art mediums towards developing creative and artistic skills. This includes, drawing, shading to photo editing - all while encouraging self expression, fun, creativity. Every week will have something new for students to explore whilst building on the skills taught in lessons before.

Term 3 Registration

Scheduling of Term 3 lessons has commenced with all currently scheduled lessons rolled over into Term 3.

Please let Pat know if changes to your lesson for Term 3.

Term 3 Fees

Please note for Term 3 we will be increasing our fees inline with our 12month fee review cycle. Lesson fees have increased to the following:

30min lesson - $44

60min lesson - $85
