Design & Develop Learning Outcomes

This workshop explores ways we can design and develop Learning Outcomes towards coherent and high quality workshops and learning experiences. Consistent with education standards, including the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF2015) and Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), we explore how to balance Generic and Discipline Specific outcomes, within key learning areas Knowledge, Skills, Application of Knowledge and Skills and Mindset.

Developing Constructive Alignment in workshops

This workshop explores how to develop Constructive Alignment for learning experiences or workshops. That is the process of mapping and aligning assessments and tasks to the learning outcomes. It also includes developing a rationale for how the assessment/tasks test the achievement of each learning outcome, with details of the assessment and how the student is assessed.

These workshops will take you into the world of the modern student, dissecting and analysing the challenges and successes students face when learning. This includes such aspects as: technology, leanirng difficulties, social & home life influences, and globalisation. Whether new to teaching or not, this is a timely discussion on whats going on for our kids.

FREE Individual Consultation

These are free meetings to discuss and support you in transitioning your knowledge, skills and experience into teaching deliverables, either online or face to face. Provided by tertiary education expert Patrick Nellestein as either online (zoom session) or over the phone, these sessions aim to support you in discovering ways to enter into teaching for the first time, or review teaching products you already deliver; exploring pedagogies, leanirng outcomes, assessment models, and learning resources.
